PORTWEST, a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE is currently seeking applications for an enthusiastic, self-starter to join our growing Graphics and Marketing Department. The position of Graduate Graphic Designer will be based in Westport, Co.Mayo on a fixed term basis of 2 years, reporting to the Graphic Design Manager. With 1400 styles across more than 20 ranges, we design, manufacture and distribute market leading workwear, safety wear and PPE in fully owned production facilities. Job Summary

As the Graphic Designer, you will provide support in the form of editing existing templates and working on image and asset processing. In addition, you will gain valuable experience working as part of a dynamic multi-disciplined team, working on multi-language campaigns and exporting print and digital content to the highest level. This position is a 2-year fixed term position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support, and learn from, Senior Designers on project and daily outputs
  • Image processing and correction
  • Image meta-tagging
  • Teamwork set up
  • Development and maintenance of a suite of flyer templates
  • Creation of brand focused social media assets & requests
  • Dedicated support for internal branding requirements
  • Review, collection and uploading of 360 images for new products
  • Spot checking product display on website & reporting any issues
  • Monitor and report on activity within the marketing hub

Requirements

  • Degree in Graphic Design, or similar
  • Experience in the ADOBE creative Suite – InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator
  • Creative flare and forensic attention to detail
  • Extremely organised while being flexible and adaptable
  • Proactive with an efficient approach to heavy workloads
  • Positive attitude and growth mindset
