Day Rate / Hourly Rate
PAYE: £485.09 – £517.43 per day
Umbrella/Ltd: £618.93 – £660.19 per day

Atrium Global is supporting a leading client within the insurance industry to recruit a Senior Data Scientist.
Job Overview
You will utilise advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to interpret complex data, build production-grade models, and create impactful insights. Working closely with subject matter experts, you will influence operational and strategic decision making by translating data-driven findings into actionable recommendations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyse, review and interpret complex data and build compelling case studies to inform business understanding
- Develop and maintain production-ready machine learning models
- Identify behavioural drivers and trends within data to explain business patterns
- Contribute to analytical tools and assets that detect and monitor non-standard claim patterns
- Collaborate with business experts to shape solutions to operational challenges
- Present analytical results for operational review and business planning activities
- Support short and long-term strategic initiatives through research and data-led recommendations
REQUIREMENTS
- Masters degree in Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering or another quantitative discipline
- Strong capability in AI/ML including deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch
- Demonstrable experience of developing and deploying machine learning models into production
