Software Engineer

Location: Belgium (Hybrid: 4 days remote, 1 day onsite at HQ)

Engagement Status: Full-Time Freelance Contract

About the Role:

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Biopharmaceutical client's Project team, which develops and maintains validated (GxP) software for clinical study design. This platform has been in place for 8 years and continues to evolve with 3–4 major releases annually. You will work in a dynamic team of 18 professionals (analysts, testers, technical writers, developers, PMs) and contribute to building high-quality solutions in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in daily stand-ups and regular planning/refinement sessions.
• Develop full-stack solutions using .NET Core (v6+), Angular (v6–14), TypeScript, and CSS.
• Collaborate with analysts to challenge and refine requirements.
• Use Azure DevOps for task and code management.
• Ensure compliance with validated (GxP) standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and problem-solving within the team.

Requirements:

Must-Have Skills:

• Full-stack development experience: .NET Core, Angular, TypeScript, CSS.
• Experience in validated (GxP) environments.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Based in Belgium (1 day/week onsite).

Ideal Profile:

• Experience migrating Angular to newer versions.
• Background in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong problem-solving mindset (asks “why,” not just executes).
• DevOps/Azure knowledge or certification is a plus.
• Dutch or French language skills are a bonus but not required.

Working Model:

• Full-time engagement.
• Hybrid: 4 days remote, 1 day onsite (typically Monday).
