Job Description
As a Cyber Security Engineer , you will play a critical role in safeguarding our most essential manufacturing assets. You will implement a targeted cybersecurity program and promote its inclusive adoption throughout the Building Automation business, spanning 15 global manufacturing sites. Acting as a thought leader, you will guide the organization in identifying and addressing potential vulnerabilities across diverse OT environments, ensuring the continued integrity and availability of our systems. By establishing a secure framework for embracing IoT devices and other intelligent manufacturing systems, your role will create an accessible pathway for future technological advancements, fostering a culture of security that values input and collaboration from all team members.
You will report directly to the Director Adv Manufacturing Eng , and you'll work out of our Lugoj, Romania location on a hybrid work schedule.

You will report directly to the Director Adv Manufacturing Eng , and you'll work out of our Lugoj, Romania location on a hybrid work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and implement Honeywell Standard OT security strategies, services, and policies while evaluating, testing, and implementing security controls and measures
- Collaborate with Honeywell Global Security, ISC Engineering, and Information Technology to create best practices and recommend program improvement
- Provide guidance and training to site(s) on OT security awareness
- Plan and prioritize work based on business value across assigned plants to mitigate cyber security risks
- Build and maintain relationships with leadership within focused plants to provide assurance on security risk and minimum disruption to Operations
- Support identification and implementation of security tools and design patterns (e.g. firewall deployments, micro segmentation, IDR, AV)
- Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline such as computer science, information technology, or cybersecurity
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in OT security or related fields
- Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and managing vulnerabilities
- Knowledgeable in networking fundamentals and network security domains
- Familiarity with common OT network protocols such as Modbus, CIP, and OPC UA
- Strong IT experience with a comprehensive understanding of its integration and interaction with OT systems
- Project management experience in guiding cross-functional teams to support security initiatives, along with the ability to provide technical guidance to colleagues from various functions
- Effective problem-solving skills and a strong sense of urgency in addressing critical situations
