Our client, a luxury travel company based in Dubai, is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement scalable backend systems and microservices using Node.js and Golang, aligned with performance and reliability best practices.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, ensuring adherence to API standards like OpenAPI, with occasional use of GraphQL.
• Write clean, reusable, and testable backend code with a strong emphasis on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Design, implement, and optimize both relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases; finetune indexing and queries for high throughput.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing backend systems, APIs, and microservices at scale.
- Proficiency in Node.js and Golang, with working knowledge of backend frameworks such as Express.js, Django, or Spring Boot.
- Strong understanding of REST and GraphQL API standards; experience with OpenAPI/Swagger documentation
