We cooperate with a US-based company that owns a platform delivering value for contractors by providing greater control, deeper insights, and enhanced service to their customers. Together with the client, we are transitioning from a legacy monolithic PHP application to a modern, headless architecture powered by a REST API and a React-based frontend.

The project team consists of more than 20 specialists located in Ukraine and Poland, including an architect, a lead, middle back-end and front-end engineers, quality consultants, a business analyst, and a project manager.

IF YOU ARE

  • An experienced software engineer with 3+ years of hands-on experience in PHP and Laravel development
  • Strong in logical and functional decoupling
  • Knowledgeable in SOLID principles and common design patterns
  • Adept in UML documentation, including component and activity diagrams
  • Proficient in working with large-scale PHP platforms such as Laravel
  • Familiar with developing APIs and designing scalable architectures
  • Competent in consuming and integrating RESTful APIs
  • Knowledgeable in component-driven development, reusable UI patterns, and design systems
  • Committed to writing clean, maintainable code and following engineering best practices
  • Skilled in optimizing backend and frontend performance for efficiency and scalability
  • Capable of maintaining business communication with clients in English
  • Interested in using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor AI (a plus)


AND YOU WANT TO

  • Design and develop a scalable REST API using Laravel for a headless architecture
  • Refactor and extract functionality from a monolithic codebase into modular API services
  • Define API contracts, authentication mechanisms, and data flows between the backend and the React frontend
  • Optimize database interactions using MySQL and RDS to ensure performance and scalability
  • Contribute to building a modern, high-performance React frontend for an API-driven platform
