Regulated Financial Services | Dublin City Centre (Hybrid)

A rare opportunity has arisen for a senior technology executive to join a well-funded, regulated financial services organisation headquartered in Dublin City Centre. Having evolved from a smaller operation into a global business, the organisation is entering a significant next phase of growth and is seeking an experienced CTO / CIO-level leader to join the Irish executive team and contribute at board level.

Reporting to the Irish Chief Operating Officer and working in close partnership with the Group CTO, this role blends executive governance, regulatory accountability, and hands-on technology leadership. It will suit a senior technologist with experience operating in complex, highly regulated environments who is comfortable balancing strategic oversight with practical delivery.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping and safeguarding the organisation’s technology, governance, resilience, and security framework, while collaborating with international technology teams across a distributed operating model.

The Role

As Chief Technology Officer, you will assume end-to-end accountability for technology, technology risk, and operational resilience, with direct exposure to board governance and regulatory engagement.

Key Focus:

• Senior Technology Executive in a Regulated Environment
• Act as the accountable executive for technology within a regulated financial services entity, with responsibility for governance, oversight, and regulatory interaction.
• Strategic and Hands-On Leadership
• Combine executive-level technology strategy with practical oversight across infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems, and operational resilience.
• Regulatory Technology & Resilience Ownership
• Lead compliance with EU regulatory requirements, including Digital Operational Resilience (DORA), ICT risk management, business impact analysis, and technology outsourcing governance.
• Complex Systems & Platform Oversight
• Oversee large-scale, business-critical platforms operating in live production environments, ensuring stability, security, and scalability.
• Global Technology Collaboration
• Operate within a distributed international technology model, partnering with specialist teams across engineering, security, and operations, without direct local headcount.
• High-Autonomy Executive Environment
• Work within a lean leadership structure that values sound judgement, ownership, and delivery over hierarchy or bureaucracy.
• Regulatory & Audit Interface
• Serve as the primary senior point of contact for technology, systems, and operational resilience matters with regulators and external auditors.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: €150,000 – €175,000 - DOE
• Discretionary Bonus
• Comprehensive Benefits Package
• Hybrid Working: 3 days onsite per week (Dublin City Centre)
