IT/Business Project Manager (Contract)


Start Date: Immediate

Location: Athenry, Ireland

Duration: 12 months

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite


Description:

The Business Project Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating enterprise-level initiatives in partnership with IT project managers, business stakeholders, and external vendors. This role focuses on planning, governance, execution, and communication to ensure successful delivery of complex programs aligned with global operational objectives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with IT project managers and external service providers to plan, coordinate, and execute business programs end-to-end.
  • Lead project planning activities, including development of program charters, integrated roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, and execution plans.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while adhering to corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and Quality Management System standards.
  • Drive project launches by coordinating development, testing, and production readiness across internal, external, and global teams.
  • Establish and maintain program and project governance structures to support decision-making, risk management, and issue resolution.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, sponsors, and partners, providing clear and timely status updates.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively resolve risks, issues, and dependencies, adapting plans as project needs evolve.
  • Collaborate with training and enablement teams to plan and support training initiatives related to project rollout.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining high-quality outcomes.
  • Support additional business needs and responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in Business Project or Program Management within complex, cross-functional environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience working across global teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, risks, and dependencies.
  • Experience operating in regulated environments is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, with onsite presence three days per week.
