Senior Java Software Engineer in Customer and Sector Integration Tribe

Job Description

We are Customer & Sector Integration Tribe. We enable customers to streamline their banking experience by automating communication of financial interactions and data – all the way between the customers, Danske Bank, and the financial sector. We implement new technology to offer resilient, stable, and efficient solutions. The Tribe is responsible for corporate file solutions, Open Banking platform, key infrastructure for SWIFT, statements and reports to both consumers and corporates.

You will be part of Statement Modernization team responsible for creating next generation account statement files to our customers in all the countries where Danske Bank operates. We merge together the latest industry standards, customer requests and modern IT technology to deliver best-in-class statements. We ensure that Danske Bank stays competitive, compliant, and efficient.

You will:

• Oversee the technical solutions developed within the team
• Take initiative to improve them, revise architecture, write code, deploy and maintain them
• Bring your knowledge to our team discussions, be able to not only explain but also to listen and agree on best solution for us
• Continuously develop yourself and team’s technical capabilities
• Work with: Java 21, Spring Boot, Docker, Terraform, MS SQL database, Amazon Web Services (AWS), internal Danske Bank cloud, Github Enterprise, SOAP / REST web services
• And most importantly, be positive and enjoy our journey together!
  
  

About you:

• Solid understanding of IT architecture and hands on experience with solution design
• Strong proficiency in Java, its tools, libraries, frameworks
• Knowledge of native AWS services, some experience developing applications for AWS
• Ownership mentality, open, team-oriented, good communication skills
• Willingness to be technical lead, learn and improve
• Advanced language skills in written and spoken English

Monthly salary range from 4560 EUR to 6840 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).

Your job function (position) in the job contract will be Senior IT Software Engineer (Cloud Specialist), Senior. From 1 April 2026 it will be renamed to Software Engineering under our new job architecture, with no impact on the role or responsibilities.
