Java Application Developer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Architect / Lead Java Engineer to drive the design, development, and evolution of enterprise-grade Java applications. This role requires strong technical leadership, deep expertise in modern Java and Spring technologies, and the ability to align complex technical solutions with business objectives. You will play a key role in architectural decision-making, system scalability, and mentoring engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture reviews, solution design sessions, and technical decision-making across multiple engineering teams.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java/J2EE applications using modern standards and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering leadership to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Evaluate, recommend, and drive adoption of technology stacks, frameworks, and tools aligned with long-term platform strategy.
• Architect and implement scalable microservices and distributed systems with a focus on resilience, performance, and security.
• Define and enforce coding standards, architectural guidelines, and best practices across teams.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs, API gateways, and integrations using service mesh architectures.
• Optimize application performance through JVM tuning, concurrency management, and profiling techniques.
• Guide teams on database design, data access strategies, and performance optimization for both SQL and NoSQL systems.
• Mentor and coach engineers, promoting technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Java/J2EE application development.
• Strong expertise in Core Java (Java 17 and above), including JVM internals, multithreading, concurrency, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with the Spring ecosystem, including:
• Spring Boot
• Spring Cloud
• Spring Security
• Proven experience designing microservices-based and distributed architectures.
• In-depth knowledge of RESTful API design, API gateways, and service mesh concepts.
• Hands-on experience with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate and JPA.
• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, including:
• PostgreSQL
• Oracle
• MongoDB
• Cassandra
• Experience with messaging and streaming platforms, such as:
• Apache Kafka
• RabbitMQ
• ActiveMQ
• Solid grasp of design patterns, SOLID principles, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
