🔎 Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to join the Venga team and help grow and scale our products to the next level. This pivotal role focuses on expanding our crypto offering—from integrating new Layer 1 and Layer 2 tokens to building robust, user-friendly yield products. It requires you to possess a strong technical background, exceptional leadership abilities, and a passion for driving engineering excellence. As an Engineering Manager at Venga, you will oversee the development and execution of projects, lead an engineering squad, manage the career and provide growth opportunities to your engineers, and collaborate closely with other teams and functions to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products.

💻 What You'll Be Doing

• Manage and lead an engineering squad, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to help them grow and succeed in their roles.
• Oversee the technical roadmap for rapid asset expansion, ensuring our infrastructure can support a diverse range of coins, tokens, and blockchain protocols (EVM, UTXO, etc.).
• Architect and deliver secure staking solutions, managing the complexity of on-chain interactions, rewards distribution, and validator management.
• Collaborate with product management, treasury, operations and security to develop and prioritize product roadmaps that align with Venga's overall strategy.
• Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning within your team, encouraging engineers to explore new technologies, share knowledge, and improve processes.
• Drive technical decision-making, ensuring that your team's solutions are scalable, maintainable, and meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the technical landscape, staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activity.
• Work closely with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and collaboration across the Venga ecosystem.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of your team's work, using data to inform product decisions and drive growth.
• Communicate technical plans, progress, and results to stakeholders, including product leaders and other engineering teams.

👤 Who You Are & What You'll Need

• Minimum of 5 years experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in an engineering manager or similar role.
• Strong understanding of Blockchain and Web3 fundamentals, specifically regarding Proof-of-Stake (PoS) mechanisms, Validator infrastructure, and token standards (ERC-20, SPL, etc.).
• Servant leadership mindset and an ability to inspire and motivate others.
• Experience growing, coaching, mentoring, and providing feedback to team members, including having had difficult conversations.
• Familiarity with agile and scrum best practices.
• Experience breaking down large initiatives into smaller, user-centric milestones.
• Experience working with technical and non-technical stakeholders, successfully aligning and setting expectations on scope and delivery.
• Experience navigating ambiguous and changing product requirements and successfully delivering a winning product.
• Native or Advanced level of English.

👤 Nice to have

• Deep experience integrating with custody providers or node infrastructure providers.
• Previous experience building staking or yield-generating products in Fintech or DeFi.
• Familiarity with compliance, AML and regulation related to asset listing.
• ISO/IEC 27001 experience.
• Smart Contract awareness (Solidity/Rust) is a plus for auditing and architectural decisions.
