What you will do:


The purpose of the role is to support the WCOO Luxembourg team across a range of responsibilities helping the Business to deliver its strategic and tactical goals, proactively respond to challenges in the local environment, challenge where necessary to ensure the continued viability and success of the business.


The role holder will act Business Continuity and Complaints Management champion and oversighting the business risk and controls (NFR RCAs, Issues, Internal Events, performing CMAs) for Wholesale Luxembourg.


The role holder will help for the change and remediation activities/remediation driven by HSBC Group and locally. Furthermore, the role holder will work closely with the Regional/Global Functions ensuring that their goals are aligned with the business needs and that the services delivered are of requisite value.


Principal accountabilities (but not limited to):


  • Actively support the Wholesale Banking Luxembourg in the formulation and implementation of their business strategy.
  • Support multiple projects and lead some streams under the WCOO pillars (CAO, Data & Analytics, Client Services, Change Management, NFRO) also support local initiatives.
  • Support to prepare MIs and Executive Committee presentations and meetings.
  • Lead a number of annual Regulatory submission exercises to CSSF (Complaints Report, PSD2…).
  • Ensure the Business Continuity Coordinator role for GB-GPS by completing the annual BIA and BC Exercises.
  • Ensure the dBIRO role for Wholesale and work on a number of topics related to Resilience and Information Security.


You should apply if you have:


  • Very good knowledge and experience of working in the Wholesale Banking (GB&CMB) industry with in-depth end-to-end understanding of all Wholesale business processes.
  • Strong experience in working cross-functional role. High ability to connect with cross-functional teams/work in a matrix environment, functions and individuals.
  • Strong understanding and experience of the risks facing businesses and corresponding risk mitigation strategies.
  • End to end Project/Change Management and delivery experience/qualifications and history of success.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in English. Any additional language can be an asset.
