About the Role

RELYzIT Talent is seeking a Windows System Engineer (Freelance) to join our client’s Digital Workplace team in Gosselies for a 12-month mission. This is a freelance opportunity for a builder who thrives on impact, ownership, and technical excellence. You’ll be at the heart of device lifecycle management, modern deployment, and operational excellence, ensuring seamless digital experiences for thousands of users. You’ll solve complex challenges in device management, drive automation, and ensure operational continuity for a large, distributed workforce. What You’ll Be Doing

• Install, configure, and stage Windows devices using Intune, Autopilot, and WhiteGlove for automated deployment and configuration
• Package and deploy Windows applications (“Easy Packages”) in support of the main packager
• Monitor and tune devices for optimal performance and reliability
• Create and maintain operational and technical system documentation
• Manage KIR (Keep IT Running) processes to ensure business continuity
• Process and track business requests, ensuring timely resolution
• Monitor hardware, software, and service providers, including support tickets and repair processes
• Generate technical reports and track KPIs for continuous improvement
• Update and monitor asset inventories, ensuring data quality and compliance
• Develop, update, and refine procedures related to device management
• Administer and manage the device fleet via MDM tools
• Provide on-site support across Wallonia as required (minimum 4 days per week on-site in Gosselies, with additional travel as needed)
• Stay ahead of technology trends, anticipating obsolescence and integrating new features

• Experience level: Medior (3 to 5 years) in similar roles, ideally in environments with 2000+ users

Technical Skills & Requirements

• Expertise in Windows 10/11 installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Intune for enrollment and configuration of workstations via Windows Autopilot (minimum 3 years)
• Strong knowledge of MDM tools and endpoint management (PCs, laptops, desktops, VDI, VMs, smartphones, tablets on iOS/Android)
• Asset management: Inventory tracking, device lifecycle (EOL), reporting, and KPIs (minimum 3 years)
• Proven experience in monitoring and tuning Windows systems
• Application packaging and deployment for Windows (“Easy Packages”)
• Troubleshooting skills for enrollment-related and hardware incidents
• Experience creating and executing PowerShell scripts (nice to have)
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 and NIS standards (nice to have)
• Experience in large-scale environments (2000+ users) (nice to have)
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (required for on-site and inter-site travel)

Language Proficiency

• French: C2 level (CEFR) required
