A highly regarded mid-sized Top 100 City firm are seeking a Risk and Compliance Lawyer to join them.


Role detail

You will join the firm’s growing Risk and Compliance team working directly with the Risk & Compliance Director (COLP).


You will play a critical role in handling day-to-day Risk and Compliance issues and contributing to the ongoing development of Risk & Compliance awareness, policies and procedures throughout the firm.


Responsibilities include:

  • Providing advice and guidance to lawyers in the firm on a wide range of legal and regulatory risk and compliance issues
  • Assisting the Director of Risk and Compliance in advising on Professional Indemnity and other insurance queries
  • Assisting the Director of Risk and Compliance on investigating complaints
  • Offering expert advice on the SRA handbook and other professional conduct queries
  • Drafting and advising on the Firm’s risk and compliance policies and procedures
  • Supporting and managing the Firm’s annual audit process and the Firm’s external accreditation
  • Overseeing the management of the Firm’s risk exposure including relationships with clients and third parties
  • Supporting the Data Protection Partner in handling enquiries
  • Working with HR on the management of SRA records
  • Other duties as required


Candidate

You may be an experienced Risk and Compliance lawyer looking for a new challenge, or an experienced Solicitor looking for a career change away from fee-earning.


Ideally you will have prior experience in Risk & Compliance or significant exposure to risk issues in a fee-earning capacity.
