Back End Developer

I am looking for an experienced backend or integration engineer to join our client within the financial industry. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain robust integrations between SaaS platforms and internal systems. You'll work closely with the product, operations and engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions in a complex technical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and systems integrations
• Build and support SaaS integrations using APIs and event driven architects
• Ensure high-quality code through testing, CI/CD pipelines, and code reviews
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration and performance issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Required skills & experience:

• Proven experience as a backend engineer or integration engineer
• Strong experience with SaaS integrations and API-based systems
• Solid programming experience with Java (or similar backend language)
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
• Familiarity with modern development practices and cloud-based environments
• Fluent Dutch

Nice to Have:

• Experience with pension, financial or regulated systems.
• Knowledge of security, compliance or data privacy requirements in financial domains
