About the role

We’re an Australian AI startup in the prop tech space - leading in AI video for large real estate agencies and property portals. We are seeking a local, highly hands-on cybersecurity expert to urgently investigate, contain and permanently secure our platform.

This is a technical role for someone who enjoys getting into systems, not writing reports.

What you’ll do

• Forensically analyse recent breaches and identify root causes
• Assess our web application, cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline
• Patch vulnerabilities and harden systems end-to-end
• Implement monitoring, alerts and automated protections
• Advise founders on secure development practices going forward

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience securing production web platforms
• Strong knowledge of:
• Web app security (OWASP Top 10)
• Cloud security (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Linux servers, containers, APIs
• Incident response and digital forensics experience
• Able to work independently and move fast
• Based in Australia (remote)

Engagement

• Casual / contract
• Immediate start
• Likely 10–30 hours initially, ongoing as needed
• Competitive hourly rate for the right person
