The Role

We are seeking an Identity Governance & Identity Operations Technical Lead to play a key role in delivering and supporting enterprise-scale Identity and Access Management (IAM) services.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role with responsibility for identity governance platforms, day-to-day IAM operations, and continuous improvement of identity services. You will act as a technical escalation point, support 24/7 IAM capabilities, and help shape the organisation’s long-term IAM strategy.

The role includes participation in a structured on-call rotation to support critical identity services outside standard business hours.

You will work closely with Security Operations, Engineering, Service Leads, and Business Stakeholders to maintain operational excellence and continuously evolve identity governance capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Team Leadership

• Act as technical lead and escalation point for identity governance and operations teams
• Coach and support engineers, fostering a culture of operational discipline and continuous improvement
• Drive adoption of modern IAM practices and innovative identity governance solutions
• Stay current with IAM technologies, security threats, and regulatory developments

Operational Excellence

• Lead incident, change, and problem management for identity governance services
• Support and maintain enterprise IAM platforms in a 24/7 operational model
• Monitor system performance, capacity, and health; implement improvements proactively
• Ensure platforms are patched, secure, and aligned with best practices
• Support audit, compliance, and regulatory reporting requirements
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative controls

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 5+ years’ experience delivering, supporting, and securing IAM services
• Strong hands-on expertise across:
• Identity Governance & Administration (IGA)
• Identity provisioning and lifecycle management (JML)
• Access reviews, certification, and entitlement management
• Proven experience with:
• SailPoint IIQ
• Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM)
• Entra ID / Azure AD
• Experience supporting enterprise IAM platforms in regulated environments
