Data Scientist (Lisbon/Porto)

We are looking for a mid-level technical data professional to join an international team working on GenAI and advanced analytics solutions, deploying models into production within a Databricks and Azure ecosystem.

In this role, you will work closely with data science teams to operationalize machine learning and GenAI use cases, contributing across the full development lifecycle while following DevOps best practices. The position offers exposure to Azure ML and modern data platforms, with a strong focus on scalable, high-quality, and sustainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy GenAI and analytics models into production within a Databricks environment.
• Collaborate with data scientists to translate models into production-ready solutions.
• Contribute across the full development lifecycle, from development to deployment and monitoring.
• Work under DevOps principles, supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Build and maintain data pipelines using Databricks Pipelines or Airflow.
• Expand solutions into Azure Machine Learning for GenAI use cases.
• Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, and scalability.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, ML Engineer, or Data Scientist in a technical role.
• Experience working in production environments with data or ML solutions.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks.
• Solid programming skills in Python / PySpark.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines (ideally Azure DevOps).
• Experience with SQL and/or PySpark.
• Knowledge of Python libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas, mlflow.
• Experience with Azure Machine Learning.
• Experience building data pipelines using Airflow or Databricks Pipelines.

Other

• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
• Strong team player with an entrepreneurial, analytical, and pragmatic mindset.
• Fluent in English.
