Job Description:

We are seeking a Director-level AI leader to shape, architect, and deliver enterprise-wide AI initiatives for a large, highly regulated organization undergoing significant digital transformation. This role requires a hybrid blend of AI strategy, solution architecture, and technical depth. You will work with senior leadership, engineering teams, and cross-functional partners to design scalable AI solutions that drive measurable business value.

Role Overview:

The Director, AI Business Strategy & Architecture will translate the organization’s AI roadmap into actionable strategies, solution architectures, and delivery plans. You will identify high-impact AI opportunities, lead architectural design for GenAI and LLM-based solutions, and ensure responsible AI adoption across the business. This role requires someone who can move seamlessly between executive-level conversations and in-depth technical discussions with engineering.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Director-level leadership experience with strong communication and executive presence.

• Hands-on experience with GenAI, LLMs, RAG architectures, NLP, or AI/ML solution delivery.

• Proven ability to design or review AI architectures in an enterprise environment.

• Strong familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

• Knowledge of Python, APIs, and modern data/AI engineering patterns.

• Experience with architecture tools

• Understanding of Responsible AI frameworks, model governance, and risk management.

• Experience delivering AI solutions within regulated industries such as financial services, insurance, telecom, healthcare, or government.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 10 or more years of experience in AI strategy, AI architecture, or enterprise technology.

• Cloud certification (Azure, AWS, or GCP Architect) is an asset.

Base salary - $210,000 - $215,000

(Flexible, related to experience)
