VitalSigns, a spin-off from Aalto University in Finland, is revolutionizing the healthcare industry with a state-of-the-art smart and connected multimodal diagnostic device. By seamlessly integrating advanced hardware with cutting-edge machine learning, our solution simplifies diagnostic processes for medical professionals and, in the future, consumers at home.

Our journey is fueled by innovation and collaboration, combining in-house and outsourced development efforts. With secured funding, we are on track to finalize development by 2025, followed by medical device certification and product launch by late 2025 or early 2026. The upcoming year will be a pivotal sprint, and we are looking for a Product Development Manager who shares our vision and commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Oversight: Manage and supervise external hardware and software development teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Team Building: Recruit and lead a team of internal developers to advance our algorithms and machine learning models.
• R&D Leadership: Build and manage a robust research and development (R&D) team, fostering collaboration across software, hardware, and machine learning disciplines.
• Product Development: Oversee the design, development, and continuous improvement of our solution’s hardware and software components.
• Innovation Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to explore new technologies and trends that enhance our product offerings and improve patient outcomes.
• Stakeholder Relations: Cultivate partnerships with technology providers, research institutions, and key stakeholders.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to the highest quality standards and regulatory requirements for our medical device.
• Fundraising Support: Contribute to fundraising efforts by showcasing the technical expertise and innovation potential of our solutions.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in technology development and leadership, particularly in hardware, software, and machine learning.
• A successful track record in developing and launching innovative products, preferably in medical devices or healthcare.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning models, algorithms, and their applications in medical diagnostics.
• Experience in hardware development, especially for medical devices or IoT systems.
• Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills, with an emphasis on collaboration and clear communication.
• Proficiency in managing multiple teams and projects in a fast-paced startup environment.
