The role will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of HPC/data center infrastructure initiatives while serving as Scrum Master for a technical team delivering HPC products and services, applying agile, waterfall, and hybrid methods to achieve agreed scope, schedule, budget, and reliability outcomes

Thus, the purpose of the role is to

• Plan and deliver complex HPC infrastructure migrations and deployments, integrating agile and waterfall approaches as appropriate to scope, risk, and dependency profiles.
• Serve as Scrum Master for a technical delivery team building and operating high-compute products and capabilities for R&D, facilitating events, removing impediments, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities

• Delivery leadership: Plan, execute, and deliver HPC infrastructure projects and services to agreed budget, schedule, and quality, selecting and tailoring agile, waterfall, or hybrid methods.
• Team facilitation and coaching: Lead and facilitate Scrum and Kanban events (e.g., sprint planning, daily scrums, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives), decision-making forums, and cross-team ceremonies; coach teams on agile and lean values, principles, and practices.
• Backlog and roadmap management: Partner with Technical Area Leads and Product Owners to continuously refine product/team backlogs, define and update roadmaps, and translate business requirements into actionable work.
• Risk, issue, and dependency management: Proactively identify, track, and resolve risks, issues, and impediments; manage cross-team and third-party dependencies; escalate appropriately to maintain delivery momentum.
• Scope, schedule, and budget control: Develop and manage plans, forecasts, resource allocations, milestones, and financials; maintain transparent status reporting and change control.
• Stakeholder engagement: Manage IT and Business stakeholders at multiple levels; align priorities, communicate progress and outcomes, and support effective governance and decision-making.
• Supplier and partner management: Engage and manage third-party vendors for hardware, software, and services; oversee contracts, SLAs, and delivery performance.

Required Qualifications:

• Solid background: A degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant technical field
• Project/Program Management: Demonstrated success delivering data center migrations, hardware deployments using hybrid methodologies.
• Agile Leadership: Hands-on Scrum Master experience with technical teams; strong facilitation, coaching, and continuous improvement mindset.
• Certifications: Expertise in Agile and Lean methodologies, with certification as a Scrum Master and experience in SAFe
• Facilitation: Strong consulting and facilitation skills in leading technical teams in Agile frameworks adoption and improvement.
• Stakeholder Management: Strong communication and influencing skills across engineering, operations, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Risk and Financial Management: Competence in risk/issue tracking, dependency management, forecasting, and budget control.
• Tooling: Experience with widely successful Agile techniques and tools such as the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence) and Airfocus.
• Vendor Management: Experience managing third-party suppliers and contract performance for hardware/software/services.
• Global environment: Experience working with onshore and offshore personnel in a global organization across cultural boundaries.
• Technical Depth: Understanding of HPC architecture, compute/storage/networking, virtualization/containers, and observability/monitoring is preferred but not required.
