Founded with a single shop in London, the company dominated UK grocery retail for most of the 20th century. Today, it operates over 600 supermarkets and 800 convenience stores, offering both food and non-food products such as mobile phones, clothing, and books.

This multi-year initiative focuses on enhancing supply chain integration. As the programme advances, your role as a front-end developer will be pivotal in delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.

IF YOU ARE

  • Experienced in front-end development with React and Node.js on the backend
  • Proficient in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
  • Skilled in HTML5 and CSS3
  • Familiar with AWS Lambdas and MongoDB
  • Adept at integrating RESTful APIs and working with GraphQL
  • Comfortable with Git version control
  • Knowledgeable about Serverless Framework and Terraform

AND YOU WANT TO

  • Develop and maintain scalable React applications
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Implement responsive UI components with HTML and CSS
  • Integrate and consume RESTful APIs for seamless data flow
  • Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and stakeholders in an Agile environment
  • Manage source code effectively with Git
  • Work with CMS systems and Content APIs for dynamic content delivery
  • Continuously learn and apply modern front-end trends and best practices
