Senior DevOps Engineer

Salary: 8 400-12 180 EUR/month gross (before tax) based on your skills and experience, but we are open to negotiation.

Location: Europe, UK (remote)

Schedule: 1 FTE (40 hours/week)

5-month contract with a high possibility of extension.

What You'll Be Doing

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer with proven experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our dynamic team at one of the country's biggest players in finance.

How You'll Spend Your Day

Lead the design and development of a robust AWS‑native data platform, ensuring scalability, resilience, and long‑term maintainability across the ecosystem.
Expand the platform’s capabilities by implementing Confluent Kafka and integrating advanced AWS services to support high‑performance streaming and data processing.
Support and onboard additional domains onto the shared AWS platform, providing guidance, best practices, and hands‑on assistance to help teams adopt and use the infrastructure effectively.
Uphold end‑to‑end governance, security, and compliance across the AWS platform, ensuring full alignment with regulatory requirements, cloud best practices, and internal bank standards.

You'll be successful if you have

At least 8 years of experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer with extensive hands‑on expertise in AWS and cloud‑native platform development.
Deep knowledge of CI/CD engineering, Data Lakehouse architectures, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), infrastructure monitoring, disaster prevention and recovery, and secure SDLC practices.
Strong data engineering background with proven experience designing, building, and maintaining high‑quality ETL pipelines using various methods and patterns.
Ability to design scalable, reliable, and efficient AWS‑native solutions that support modern data platforms and enterprise‑level workloads.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to operate in complex cloud environments and drive best practices across teams.
