Technical Engineering Lead – Embedded CI/CD & Platform Architecture
Role Overview
EDAG is seeking a Technical Engineering Lead to drive the architecture and implementation of high-integrity embedded platforms and their supporting CI/CD ecosystems for automotive systems up to ASIL D.
This role combines technical leadership, system ownership, and hands-on contribution, with responsibility for defining and executing a scalable CI/CD vision across multiple System-on-Chips and vehicle programs.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Own the CI/CD architecture for embedded automotive platforms.
- Define standards, quality gates, and automation strategies across the toolchain.
- Drive early error detection, fast feedback cycles, and system robustness.
- Act as technical authority and mentor for CI/CD and DevOps practices.
CI/CD Implementation
- Lead implementation and evolution of CI/CD pipelines using:
- Jenkins, Gerrit, Docker, Artifactory, Azure, Linux
- Develop and maintain pipeline logic using Groovy and Python.
- Support build, integration, and deployment flows for AUTOSAR Classic systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements.
Team Enablement & Delivery
- Guide teams in technical decision-making and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with architects, developers, and safety engineers.
- Contribute hands-on when needed, while enabling others to succeed.
- Support planning, dependency management, and technical risk mitigation.
Required Profile
- Strong background in embedded software engineering within automotive systems.
- Experience in technical leadership roles (Architect, Tech Lead, Senior Engineer with leadership responsibility).
- Hands-on experience building and operating CI/CD systems for embedded products.
- Deep understanding of build systems, automation, and software delivery pipelines.
- Proficiency in Groovy and Python.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical direction.
- Fluent in English.
Meritorious
- Experience with Bazel, Zuul, AUTOSAR Classic, or safety-critical systems.
- Previous role as Senior Software Developer or Software Architect.
- Passion for clean architecture, quality, and scalable engineering practices.
