Lead Golang Software Engineer (IoT)

Our client is an ambitious global player in micromobility and smart fleet platforms. Together, we are evolving their next-generation IoT data ingestion and processing platform, focusing on scalable backend services, reliable real-time telemetry, and seamless integration across multiple technical domains.

IF YOU ARE

A lead-level Golang Software Engineer with 7+ years of commercial development experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
Well-versed in designing technical solutions and architectures, while remaining hands-on with code when needed
Comfortable working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and relevant cloud services
Skilled in designing and building backend microservices and event-driven data pipelines
Confident in concurrency, performance optimization, and scalable service design
Familiar with data exchange formats such as Protobuf and JSON, and messaging protocols (MQTT preferred)
Accustomed to containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledgeable in SDLC, Agile practices, and clean architecture principles
Aware of core cybersecurity practices, including identity and access management, application and cloud security, and vulnerability handling
Proactive, initiative-driven, and vision-oriented, able to propose solutions rather than wait for instructions
Fluent in English at B2 level or higher, able to actively participate in technical and business discussions with international stakeholders
Comfortable communicating directly with the client, asking the right questions, and aligning technical decisions with business goals
Experienced with IoT systems, telemetry ingestion, connected devices, or distributed systems owning commercial, or strong personal projects (as a plus)

AND YOU WANT TO

Design end-to-end technical solutions for complex IoT and Edge-to-Cloud systems
Combine solution architecture responsibilities with hands-on development in Go
Lead and guide a team of engineers, ensuring technical consistency and high code quality
Work directly with the client’s technical and business stakeholders on a daily basis
Build and evolve Go-based backend microservices handling high-volume real-time telemetry
Improve scalability, fault tolerance, performance, and reliability of critical data pipelines
Participate actively in architecture sessions, technical planning, and design reviews
Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to continuous improvement of system stability
Apply best practices in cloud infrastructure, device connectivity, and secure data processing
