Android Developer (m/f/x) for German Tech Startup

payever is looking for an experienced Android Engineer to join us on a project basis. You will work remotely and contribute to the development and integration of Android SDK solutions, including Tap-to-Phone payment functionality. This role is suited for a self-driven freelancer who is comfortable working independently and delivering high-quality Android components.

• Develop and maintain native Android applications and SDK modules
• Implement Android SDK and module integrations
• Work with NFC and Tap-to-Phone payment concepts
• Build and maintain clean, scalable Android app architecture
• Implement UI components according to product requirements
• Handle logging, error handling, and debugging
• Write unit tests and end-to-end (E2E) tests
• Collaborate using Git and standard Android build tools
  

• Strong experience with Java (Android)
• Solid knowledge of Android SDK and Android Studio
• Experience with native Android app architecture
• Experience in SDK and module development
• Knowledge of Android native bridges
• Understanding of NFC / Tap-to-Phone concepts
• Experience with UI implementation on Android
• Familiarity with logging, error handling, and debugging
• Experience with unit testing and E2E testing
• Proficiency with Git and Android build processes
