Scrum Master & Release Manager (f//m/x)

BREITLING
Poland · Full-time · Mid-Senior

We are a dedicated Squad on a mission to reshape watchmaking, rooted in our legacy since 1884. With a passion for crafting timepieces that thrive across air, land, and sea, we bring together a unique fusion of casual elegance, sustainability, and inclusive luxury.

With 140 years of heritage and over 1,900 passionate individuals across 20 countries, we’re excited to continue our journey forward — and we’re now expanding our presence with a new Business Service Center in Warsaw, Poland, a key hub primarily for our growing Digital & Tech-squads.

We are offering a hybrid role, with visits to Warsaw office and on the basis of full-time job contract.

Join our vibrant team in Warsaw as a Scrum Master & Release Manager and be a part of something extraordinary!

As a Scrum Master & Release Manager in our Squad, you will facilitate agile ceremonies, coordinate releases across multiple environments, and ensure smooth delivery of our eCommerce platform. You will work closely with Product Owners, Tech Leads, Developers, and QA Engineers to maintain a predictable, steady delivery cadence.

Your contribution:

Scrum Master Duties:

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
  • Ensure priorities are clear immediately after Sprint Planning; escalate same-day if ambiguities exist
  • Coach the team on Agile best practices and workflow compliance
  • Remove impediments and blockers; escalate organizational impediments when necessary
  • Track and review blocked or aged items weekly in team syncs
  • Promote cross-functional visibility and collaboration between developers, testers, product owners, and business stakeholders

Release Management Duties:

  • Coordinate deployments across 5 environments: INT, TST, PRE, STG, and PRD
  • Own and maintain the Release page as the single source of truth

Manage the 3-week sprint rhythm:

  • Weeks 1-2: Development, TST Testing, Dev Testing
  • Week 3: Testing & Release (stabilizing and shipping)
  • Ensure Monday of Week 3 is the deadline for all features deployed to PRE
  • Enforce the Sanity Check Rule: once sanity check starts, only upload to pre-regression; no unrelated features or changes
  • Approve or reject critical deployment requests during freeze periods (in coordination with Tech Leads)
  • Coordinate with Delivery Lead for deployment scheduling to TST, PRE, STG, and PRD

Workflow Governance:

  • Ensure team members add meaningful comments when changing work item status

Monitor that the Blocked status is used responsibly:

  • Clear description of blockage reason
  • Announcement in team communication channels
  • Regular follow-up until unblocked
  • Prevent workflow steps from being skipped (except justified hotfixes with team consensus)
  • Ensure work items reflect actual current state to avoid confusion and delayed delivery

Do you think there is even more to discover in this role? You're right — apply today and learn more!

You will fit well to our squad if:

  • You have 3+ years experience as a Scrum Master, Release Manager, or similar role
  • You have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related technical/business field
  • You have strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • You have experience managing releases in multi-environment setups (DEV, TEST, STAGING, PRODUCTION)
  • You have familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
  • You have experience with issue tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar)
  • You have excellent communication and facilitation skills
  • You are able to work with cross-functional teams (Development, QA, Product, Business)
  • You have crum Master certification (CSM or PSM) and experience working in structured Agile environments (preferred)
  • You have experience with eCommerce or other customer-facing platforms, including frontend (Next.js/React) and backend deployment workflows (preferred)
  • Experience coordinating releases with external dependencies (CMS, payment providers, etc.) and familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (e.g. Datadog) (preferred)
  • You are fluent in English
