Woods & Co Recruitment have partnered with a decade old, tree-care business located in Clayton South. With strong Melbourne roots and a now very established business, who are looking for a Human Resources Person to join their expanding team


As a Human Resources Person, you will manage and oversee all HR functions, ensuring effective and efficient planning, coordination, and administration across a broad range of responsibilities. From recruitment and onboarding to performance management and compliance, this role is central to fostering a thriving, well-supported workforce.


What you'll do?


  • Manage employment contracts, new employee inductions, and probationary reviews.
  • Lead recruitment and selection processes, including onboarding and offboarding.
  • Coordinate performance appraisals and develop tailored training programs to enhance employee performance.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in compliance with company policies.
  • Process payroll efficiently for submission to the finance manager.
  • Align positions to the organisation's strategic plan by maintaining up-to-date job descriptions and requirements.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, ensuring they are understood and applied.
  • Provide high-level advice on workforce planning and compliance with Industrial Legislation and Agreements.
  • Support risk management activities and participate in quality reviews and audits.


What We're Looking For?

  • Experience in HR management, recruitment, and employee performance management.
  • Strong understanding of employment law, benefits administration, and wage structures.
  • Proven ability to foster diversity and address workplace issues, including conflict resolution.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in using HR software and systems, with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with payroll processing and a mature, solution-oriented approach to tasks.


Education:

  • Diploma or tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field.
