We’re Hiring: Senior DevOps Engineer

📍 Location: Luxembourg

📅 Start date: ASAP - Long-term mission, full-time

🌍 Languages: Fluent in English (French is a plus)

For one of our prestigious EU-based clients in Luxembourg, we are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to strengthen their DevOps and IT Service Management activities within a complex enterprise environment.

🔧 Your Role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in release, deployment, and service management processes, ensuring stability, performance, and continuous improvement of applications and platforms.

You will act as a Single Point of Contact for operational activities while coordinating with multiple IT teams and stakeholders.

✅ Required Expertise

Knowledge of:

• DevOps methodologies & release management practices
• ITIL best practices
• Sybase & Oracle databases
• Scripting: Unix Bash, Groovy or equivalent
• Programming: Python, Java or equivalent
• Web servers: Tomcat, nginx, Apache
• Version control: GitHub, Azure DevOps

Strong competence in:

• Release planning & management
• Incident & problem management
• Risk & impact assessment
• Progress, risks & issues reporting
• System performance monitoring & debugging (Linux/Windows)
• Middleware (JBOSS EAP or equivalent)
• SQL (Sybase, Oracle)
• Tools: Jenkins, Nexus, Sonar, Jira, Ansible, Azure DevOps
• Coordination & stakeholder communication
• Professional English (written & verbal)

• Manage Change, Incident, Problem, Deployment & Release processes
• Set up and maintain release & deployment pipelines
• Coordinate IT Service Management activities
• Package and document releases according to client policies
• Provide operational support and own requests/issues end-to-end
• Automate processes and propose improvements
• Maintain and update operational documentation
• Contribute to Root Cause Analysis investigations
• Configure and maintain applications and DevOps toolchains
• Support and enhance CI/CD practices
