Cloud Engineer (Azure/AWS)

🚀 We’re Hiring: Cloud Engineer (Azure / AWS)

We are currently looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to support a hybrid cloud platform with a strong focus on Azure (primary) and AWS (secondary).

This role combines operational excellence (ITIL) with project delivery and cloud transformation initiatives.

📍 Location: Schaarbeek (Brussels area)

📅 Start date: ASAP - long-term

🏢 Onsite: 4 days per week

🗣 Languages: French or Dutch + good English

🔧 Your Responsibilities

1. Operational Support (ITIL)

• Incident management & trend analysis
• Change & release management
• Problem & event management
• Proactive monitoring (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Datadog)

2. Change & Project Delivery

• Analyze, prepare, and implement changes
• Contribute to cloud projects (Azure Landing Zones, AWS multi-account setups, networking, security hardening, etc.)

3. Build-to-Run & Quality

• Create Technical User Guides & Operations Guides
• Maintain documentation (including troubleshooting guides)
• Support Cloud / Solution Architects

☁️ Technical Focus

Azure (Primary)

• Design, implement, and manage Azure environments
• Azure Landing Zones, Governance, RBAC & Policies
• Cost management & tagging strategy
• Networking (VNet, Peering, ExpressRoute, Private Link, Firewall)
• Security (Defender for Cloud)
• Automation & CI/CD (Terraform, Bicep, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)

AWS (Secondary)

• Support workloads and platform
• Multi-account setups (Control Tower / Landing Zones)
• Governance (SCPs, budgets)
• Networking (VPC, TGW, IPAM, Route53)
• Monitoring (CloudWatch, Datadog, Dynatrace)

✅ Must-Have Skills

• Strong Azure expertise + hands-on AWS experience
• Solid background in networking, security, and monitoring
• Experience with Kubernetes (AKS / EKS) & cloud databases
• Automation skills: Python, Terraform (IaC), GitOps
• Strong communication skills (technical & business)
• Team player with ownership mindset

⭐ Nice to Have

• Serverless experience (Azure Functions / AWS Lambda)
• CI/CD pipelines (ArgoCD, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
• Cloud migration experience
• FinOps knowledge (cost optimization, budget management)
