The Cloud & Network Security (CNS) organization is part of the Security Business Group (SBG) and focuses on enabling secure connectivity across devices, applications, and environments. Within this unit, the Cloud Networking & Data Plane team delivers high-performance, user-space virtualized networking solutions for SBG and other business units, with a strong emphasis on cloud-native and data plane technologies.

IF YOU ARE

• Experienced with 4+ years in delivering cloud software and high-performance systems written in C
• Proficient in working with VPP
• Skilled in contributing to VPP-based solutions
• Well-versed in L2–L7 packet processing and data plane protocols
• Knowledgeable in Linux-based operating systems, virtual machines, cloud-based services, and networking protocols
• Capable of maintaining daily communication with English-speaking software engineers on the client side
• Skilled in Python and Go (considered a plus)
• Confident in containerization technologies (an advantage)
• Experienced with CPU hardware architectures such as Arm64 and x86_64 (nice to have)
• Familiar with Kubernetes, AWS, and virtualization technologies (would be a plus)

• Contribute to the design and development of cloud-native networking solutions
• Develop high-performance, modular software data plane components (L2–L7) using the FD.io/VPP packet processing engine
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop new features and support integration across virtualized, containerized, and bare-metal environments
• Improve code quality through strong coding practices, unit testing, and feature maintenance
• Design and implement private cloud, public cloud, and multicloud-related solutions
