About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of high-impact cyber security risk reduction projects. Operating within a structured MSP and PRINCE2 environment, this role plays a critical part in strengthening organisational cyber resilience while ensuring projects are delivered in line with governance, business requirements and agreed benefits. You will work across complex stakeholder environments, balancing structure with agility, and ensuring outcomes are delivered to agreed scope, schedule, quality and budget baselines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate and deliver cyber security projects within agreed budgets and timeframes
- Liaise closely with key stakeholders including Program Managers, Program Directors, Product Owners, Senior Users, Senior Suppliers and senior leadership
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, conflicts, change requests and competing priorities
- Oversee and manage project finances and forecasting
- Develop, maintain and control detailed project schedules
- Allocate and manage project resources effectively
- Provide clear leadership, direction and support to project teams
- Deliver timely, accurate and meaningful project reporting to stakeholders
- Produce and maintain project documentation in line with organisational policies and procedures
- Ensure appropriate governance, assurance and compliance activities are embedded throughout the project lifecycle
- Develop and implement communication plans, organisational change management plans and benefit realisation plans where required
- Undertake additional duties as required to support successful project delivery
Highly desirable criteria:
- Current and varied experience across both public and private sector environments
- Recent hands-on experience using Microsoft Project and other PPM tools
- Experience delivering projects within large, complex organisations
- Recent experience delivering projects involving; end-user access changes, remote access solutions, Mobile Device Management (MDM)
- Conditional access
- Experience delivering initiatives relating to supply chain risk management
- Experience implementing security governance, risk and compliance processes
- Working knowledge of cyber security frameworks and standards such as NIST CSF and IS18
Desirable criteria:
- Exposure to Agile delivery environments alongside PRINCE2 and MSP governance
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently
Skills and experience:
- PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification (mandatory)
- Proven experience delivering ICT projects
- Strong risk, issue and financial management capability
- Excellent documentation, reporting and governance skills
- Ability to work confidently with senior stakeholders in complex environments
