Electrical Engineer

Build with our team at Terraspark a state of the art wireless power transfer technology that will eventually beam energy from space to Earth

What you’ll do

• Design and implement control electronics, power conditioning, and embedded software in collaboration with our Wireless Power Transmission (WPT) lead.
• Develop and test antenna and RF subsystems, and integrate them with power & control electronics.
• Write embedded software for measurement, control, and telemetry.
• Contribute to the development of robust testing procedures, prototype integration, and on-site operations.
• Collaborate with mechanical and thermal engineers to ensure system compatibility and performance.
• Contribute ~10–15% of time to early concept designs of SBSP spacecraft.

What we’re looking for

• Minimum Master's level engineer with at least 2-3 years hands-on experience in designing and testing RF high power and control electronics for wireless power/communications/radar systems
• Experience in implementing beam steering and tracking algorithms would be an asset.
• Practical experience with PCB design and layout software.
• Proven track record of building prototypes rapidly and iterating based on real test results.
• Proven record of delivering hardware for terrestrial or space projects would be an asset
• Strong embedded programming skills in C/C++ or Python for control and automation.
• Comfortable working in a small, dynamic environment with high initiative and autonomy.
• Curiosity about wireless power transmission and space-based solar power is a plus – space background not required, but welcome.
• Drive to take initiative, own designs through build and test, and iterate rapidly.
• Passion for pushing hardware to its limits and building something that matters.
