About Position:

Role: Scrum Master

Location: Hybrid (New Jersey)

Job Type: Full Time/Contract

What You'll Do:

• Facilitate Agile Ceremonies: Lead and facilitate all Scrum events, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring adherence to Agile principles and the Scrum framework.
• Utilize Azure DevOps: Leverage Azure DevOps (or similar tools like Jira/Trello) to manage product backlogs, track progress, monitor team performance, and generate reports/dashboards for stakeholders.
• Remove Impediments: Proactively identify, track, and remove obstacles or blockers that hinder the team's progress, coordinating with other teams (e.g., Infrastructure, Operations) and stakeholders as necessary.
• Coach and Mentor: Coach the development team and stakeholders on Agile and Scrum values, principles, and best practices, promoting self-management and accountability.
• Enhance Collaboration & Communication: Foster a transparent and collaborative environment between the development team, Product Owner, and other cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: Encourage a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement by facilitating retrospectives and implementing data-backed improvements to increase velocity, predictability, and quality.
• Support the Product Owner: Collaborate closely with the Product Owner in managing and refining the product backlog to ensure the team is always working on the most valuable items aligned with business objectives.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Experience: Minimum of [Number] years of experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment.
• Agile Expertise: Strong, proven understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.) and principles.
• Technical Tool Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Agile project management tools, specifically Azure DevOps, for backlog tracking, reporting, and workflow management.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions and resolve conflicts effectively.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or an equivalent Agile certification is highly preferred.
