Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based automation scripts and services for network operations use cases (e.g. service discovery, configuration changes, and IP address management).
- Build integrations with internal platforms and network systems using APIs (REST/HTTP, JSON).
- Work closely with network engineers and business analysts to translate operational requirements into automation workflows.
- Develop and maintain code using version control (Git) and standard development practices.
- Support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and production deployment activities.
- Produce technical documentation and contribute to knowledge bases and internal wikis.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong proficiency in Python (2+ years preferred).
- Experience working with APIs (RESTful services, JSON).
- Solid understanding of Linux/Unix environments.
- Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows.
- Experience in building automation scripts or backend services (not just UI/front-end development).
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work with complex systems.
Desirable Skills:
- Exposure to networking concepts (IP addressing, routing, transport networks).
- Experience with automation frameworks such as Ansible, Nornir, Netmiko, or Paramiko.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Experience integrating with enterprise platforms (ITSM, orchestration tools, inventory systems).
- Knowledge of Agile delivery methods and working in sprint-based teams.
