Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cisco Network Engineer with strong expertise in Service Provider (SP) routing, IP networking, firewalls, automation, optical networking, and network security.

This role will play a key part in Cisco-led initiatives, supporting the design, implementation, optimisation, and migration of enterprise and carrier-grade network environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of routing protocols and large-scale network infrastructure, with the ability to work across cross-functional teams to deliver secure and high-performing network solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support Service Provider routing and IP network infrastructure, including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VRFs.
  • Configure, deploy, and manage Cisco routing and switching platforms across enterprise and service provider environments.
  • Deploy and maintain firewalls and network security controls to safeguard critical systems and data.
  • Lead and support data centre migration projects, including network redesigns, cutovers, performance optimisation, and validation.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues across WAN, LAN, data centre, and hybrid environments.
  • Collaborate closely with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure secure, scalable, and resilient connectivity.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, migration plans, standards, and configuration templates.
  • Participate in change management processes, incident response, and continuous network optimisation initiatives.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies.
  • Deep expertise in Service Provider routing and IP networking, including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VRF configurations.
  • Experience with firewalls and network security concepts, including policy design, segmentation, VPNs, and access control.
  • Proven experience delivering data centre network migration projects in enterprise or carrier-grade environments.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities.
  • Experience working in large enterprise or service provider environments with high availability requirements.


Desirable Skills

  • Cisco certifications such as CCNP (Enterprise, Service Provider, Automation) or CCIE (Data Center, Service Provider, Automation).
  • Experience with next-generation firewalls (NGFW).
  • Exposure to SD-WAN technologies.
  • Cloud networking experience in AWS and/or Azure environments.
  • Automation or scripting skills using Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of network monitoring, observability, and logging tools.
