About The Role

We are looking for a Technical Product Owner to join Iute Group and take ownership of product value and execution for a dedicated Customer Management engineering team.

In this role, you will be accountable for owning and prioritising the team backlog, shaping problems into executable technical work together with engineers, and ensuring that delivered solutions achieve the intended business and technical outcomes within the team’s scope.

While the Engineering Manager owns capacity allocation, people management, performance, and technical sustainability, you will own product thinking and backlog execution, acting as the primary Product Owner and value owner for the team.

What You’ll Do

• Own and prioritise the team backlog as a single source of truth.
• Translate business and technical needs into clear problems, scope, and expected outcomes.
• Shape initiatives into epics, user stories, and technical enablers.
• Ensure backlog readiness and support efficient and predictable delivery.
• Balance new product development, technical debt, and risk reduction together with stakeholders and the engineering team.
• Act as the primary product-facing contact for the team.
• Consolidate and align stakeholder input into a coherent and prioritised backlog.
• Define acceptance criteria, edge cases, and non-functional requirements.
• Maintain essential system, feature, and backlog documentation.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the systems within the team’s scope.
• Take extreme ownership of backlog prioritisation, sprint content, and scope definition.
• Ensure proper slicing and clarity of backlog items to enable effective delivery.
  
  

What We Expect From You

• Strong experience working as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, or in a similar role close to engineering teams.
• Ability to translate complex business and technical topics into clear, actionable backlog items.
• Solid understanding of software development processes and system-level thinking.
• Experience working closely with engineers and stakeholders in Agile environments.
• Strong prioritisation skills and the ability to balance competing demands.
• Clear communication skills and confidence acting as a primary point of contact for product decisions.
• High sense of ownership and accountability for outcomes, not just output.
