UX Designer

Job description

We're seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Product Designer to advance our software engineering and operational excellence. This role requires a strong understanding of business requirements and technical limitations, as well as expertise in user research and translating findings into wireframes, mockups, and prototypes. The role will involve making design decisions to drive product enhancement, working closely with IT delivery teams, and collaborating with other designers on UX initiatives such as design systems and accessibility.

Primary Responsibilities

Product Design and Delivery

• Lead design delivery for one or more products.
• Effectively communicate design solutions to multiple stakeholders, identifying and addressing key issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create impactful product enhancements.
• Ensure design deliverables meet user needs and align with business goals.
• Conduct and lead user research to identify customer insights and develop solutions.
• Design or oversee the creation of wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
• Manage UI/UX vendor sourcing and performance for assigned products.
• Identify and resolve UI/UX issues (e.g., usability, responsiveness).

Transversal Initiatives

• Lead UX activities across Japan and collaborate with Group UX experts to share best practices.
• Develop and maintain a design system with reusable components to reduce development costs while upholding high UX standards.
• Define and update UI/UX guidelines and standards in response to emerging business needs and trends.
• Champion UX practices throughout the organization.

Qualifications

Required Experience/Skills

• Senior-level experience in UI/UX design for applications or web services.
• Proficient in user research methods, including interviews, surveys, user testing, and heuristic analysis.
• Deep understanding of design principles and style guides, with an ability to provide design input and conduct reviews.
• Experience creating, using, and maintaining design systems.
• Skilled in prototyping tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, or Figma.
• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.
