A leading global consulting and professional services organisation is seeking a Senior Java Developer to support a major large-scale programme in Dublin. This is an opportunity to work on a complex enterprise project within a highly structured delivery environment.

This Senior Java Developer role is backend-focused, working on modern microservices architecture within a large, multi-team programme. Experience delivering on complex transformation projects - ideally within the public sector - would be highly advantageous.

As a Senior Java Developer, you will contribute to the design, build, and optimisation of scalable backend services using modern Java frameworks. You'll collaborate closely with architects, DevOps, and delivery teams to ensure high-quality, secure, and maintainable solutions.

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot

• Design and implement scalable microservices architectures

• Contribute to system design, code reviews, and technical best practices

• Integrate services across large enterprise platforms

• Support delivery within structured Agile environments
  
  

• Strong experience as a Senior Java Developer in enterprise environments

• Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices

• Proven experience working on large-scale transformation projects

• Experience in public sector environments (highly desirable)

• Exposure to Angular is beneficial, but backend expertise is essential
