Role Overview

An experienced Project Manager is required to support the delivery of a major long term construction programme in Sines, Portugal. The project pipeline is secured through to 2032, offering long term stability and progression for the successful candidate.

The role will suit a strong people manager with experience delivering complex construction projects. Data centre project experience is highly desirable, particularly where the candidate has managed multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and client interfaces in a live environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for the management and delivery of site works from mobilisation through to completion
• Lead and manage site based teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure programme and quality targets are achieved
• Develop, manage, and update project programmes, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
• Maintain control of project budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting
• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
• Act as the primary point of contact for the client and key stakeholders
• Chair project meetings and provide clear progress and performance reporting
• Coordinate procurement activities to support programme requirements
• Oversee quality control processes and ensure accurate project documentation is maintained

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Project Manager on construction or engineering projects
• Strong management experience with the ability to lead and develop site teams
• Previous data centre project experience is highly desirable
• Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong understanding of programme management, cost control, and construction delivery
• Fluent English is essential
• Must have the right to work in Portugal
• Full driving licence preferred due to company vehicle provision
