You'll join a fast-growing team of 8 engineers that's about to double by end of year. Work directly with aviation stakeholders globally - the team travels to countries like Japan to solve problems firsthand.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll own projects end-to-end with no product managers. 80-90% of users access the product through mobile so your work directly impacts the core user experience.
We are looking for a Software Engineer, Android with 3+ years of experience to join our small, dynamic team. We are seeking a self-driven engineer who thrives on end-to-end ownership, from speaking with users at airports to designing, implementing, and testing solutions. This role is crucial for increasing our mobile team's bandwidth as we scale and for bringing diverse perspectives to our core product, which is used by 80-90% of our customers. The ideal candidate will have the ambition and soft skills to grow into a leadership position as we double our engineering team this year.

- Demonstrated end- to- end ownership of projects without PMs.

- Android SDK with deep knowledge of architectural patterns (MVVM, MVI, or similar)
- Experience writing automated tests (e. g. , Appium, UI tests).
- Jetpack Compose, modern Android practices, and RESTful API integration (error handling, offline caching)
- High- growth mindset and ambition for leadership potential.
- Must work in- person 5 days/week in Los Angeles.
- Must have US work authorization (no sponsorship).
What will you be doing?
- Own projects end-to-end: Go to airports, speak with users, identify problems, design solutions, and implement them.
- Design, develop, and deploy high-quality features for our Android application using Kotlin.
- Write and maintain automated tests (e.g., Espresso UI tests) to ensure product quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with our in-house designer, but also be prepared to design new views and components on the fly.
- Work in a fast-paced environment without product managers, taking full ownership of your work and driving projects forward.
If this sounds like you apply today for immediate consideration!
