Business Analyst – Gaming Industry
We’re seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support business-led change across a fast-paced, highly regulated gaming environment. This role is ideal for someone who is process-driven, commercially minded, and enjoys translating business requirements into practical solutions that add value.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, product, engineering, and compliance teams to assess impacts of change, improve existing processes, and ensure smooth delivery of operational initiatives.

- Melbourne CBD based
- 5 days on-site
- $650 per day + GST
- Initial contract until end of financial year, with strong likelihood of extension

THE ROLE
You will play a key role in supporting business operations and process improvement initiatives. Working closely with business stakeholders and delivery teams, you’ll analyse requirements, identify gaps, and translate them into actionable solutions. This is not just a documentation role, you’ll contribute to improving ways of working and help ensure business objectives are achieved efficiently and effectively.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyse business processes impacted by change initiatives
- Capture, document, and manage business requirements and user stories
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, QA, and compliance
- Identify process inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Maintain traceability between requirements, business processes, and delivery outcomes
- Produce clear, business-focused documentation to support governance and operational ownership
- Act as a trusted liaison between business stakeholders and delivery teams
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst in technical or regulated environments
- Solid understanding of software development and system processes
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and MS Project
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field
- Agile BA, CBAP, or similar certifications preferred
- 3–5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst
- Experience in regulated industries (gaming, wagering, finance, or similar) advantageous
