Network Engineer

Looking to join one of Australia’s most integral federal government departments? This department helps to make life of all Australians safer and is looking for a Network Engineer.
 
Working in Brisbane or Canberra office, you will be focused on engineering for their highly secure IT networks. This is an end to end role working on all aspects of network security.
 
Aside from the above you will be responsible for
 

• Day to day network management and engineering
• Identify and implement network security improvements
• Assisting in requirement analysis and design
• Resolution of network issues
• Ensuring system / network integrity
• Compliance with in/external security frameworks

 
This is a key role looking after one of Australia’s most secure and in demand networks. This is a network impacting countless lives so we are looking to speak with someone who has:
 

• 7+ years in complex secure network environments
• Experience with Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)
• Cisco, Palo Alto, F5 experience (ideally certified)
• Firewall, load balancing, proxy and VPN experience
• Microsoft Azure based networks
• Australian citizenship with the ability to get a security clearance

 
On offer to the successful candidate will be a permanent role with a salary package circa $180,000.
 
Ideally you will be based in Brisbane although this organisation has an office in Canberra so both options are available.
