Security Analyst (Vulnerability Management) | Sydney | Hybrid
We are working with a fast-growing Australian technology consultancy delivering secure, modern digital solutions across cloud, infrastructure, and cybersecurity. With strong year-on-year growth and an expanding security practice, they are now hiring a Security Analyst to take ownership of their vulnerability management capability.
This role will play a key part in building, maturing, and running the vulnerability management programme, working closely with internal engineering teams and external partners. You will operate with a high level of autonomy and have genuine ownership over tooling, process, and programme development.
The Role
- Own and operate the vulnerability management programme
- Manage vulnerability scanning, triage, prioritisation, and remediation workflows
- Work closely with infrastructure, cloud, and engineering teams to drive remediation
- Propose improvements to tooling, process, and reporting
- Help mature security operations and vulnerability governance
- Produce executive-level reporting and security insights
This is not a SOC or shift-based role. It is focused on programme ownership, uplift, and operational security improvement.
Key Skills & Experience
- Experience in a Security Analyst, Vulnerability Management Analyst, or Security Operations role
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, or Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management
- Experience or knowledge in networking, smart buildings, OT/ICS, or HVAC systems is highly desirable
- Strong vulnerability triage, remediation coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to operate independently and take ownership of security initiatives
Location & Working Model
- Sydney based, hybrid working
- Open to flexibility (Melbourne/Brisbane) for strong candidates
Salary
- $90,000 to $120,000 base + super, depending on experience
