DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - Contract-To-Hire

Edison Smart are looking for an experienced DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to help build the future of smart energy. With battery energy storage systems (BESS) at the core of Europe’s renewable transition, Our client are developing cloud-native platforms to optimise and operate energy systems for utilities, commercial sites, and renewable operators.

About the Role

You’ll design, build, and operate the cloud infrastructure powering mission-critical energy platforms, supporting both backend and frontend teams. You’ll also manage internal IT systems to ensure secure, reliable access for employees. Working closely with the Tech Lead and Product Manager in an agile environment, you’ll have high impact and shared ownership over platform infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud & DevOps

• Design, deploy, and operate Azure infrastructure; manage containerized workloads (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Own Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM) and maintain CI/CD pipelines for backend (.NET) and frontend (React/Next.js).
• Manage SQL, NoSQL, and time-series databases, performance testing, observability, and security practices.
• Enable frontend deployments: CDN, SSR, caching, SSL/TLS, and real-time features.
• Document and share DevOps/DevSecOps best practices.

Internal IT

• Manage Microsoft 365 / Office 365, user access, security policies, and enterprise identity.
• Provide IT support and act as liaison between engineering, security, and business teams.

Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years in DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure roles.
• Strong Azure, IaC (Terraform/ARM), Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipeline experience.
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and time-series databases.
• Knowledge of cloud security, networking, monitoring/observability, and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Familiarity with frontend deployments (Next.js, SSR, CDN).
• Microsoft 365 / enterprise identity management experience.
• Fluent in English; Swedish a plus.

Nice-to-have: .NET microservices, real-time frameworks (WebSockets/SignalR), IoT/event-driven cloud architectures, security/compliance experience.

Location

• Based in Stockholm, hybrid 3 days onsite per week.
