Backend Engineer (Golang)

Employment: Permanent Role

Experience: 7+ years

Location: Sydney, Australia - Hybrid

Eligibility: Candidates must have the right to work in Australia (Citizen, PR, Valid Visa holders).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Golang.
• Implement and integrate APIs, including hands-on work with Conga Connect (API) or other API Gateway solutions.
• Build secure, high-performance backend systems aligned with cloud-native architecture.
• Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments (AWS preferred / Azure acceptable).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver robust technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Conga Connect (API). Candidates with solid Conga and other API Gateway experience are also considered.
• Proven expertise in Golang, including designing and scripting microservices – MUST.
• Experience working with AWS (preferred) or Azure cloud platforms.
• Good understanding of cloud processes including deployment, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and scalability.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, authentication mechanisms, and integration patterns.
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker/Kubernetes is an added advantage.
