We are supporting a major global enterprise in securing and optimizing its network infrastructure, and we are looking for an experienced Senior Network Security Engineer. 🔴 The Role:

As a Senior Network Security Engineer, you will:

• Design, implement, and maintain robust network security measures to protect against cyberattacks and unauthorized access
• Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, proxies (forward & reverse), load balancers, and WAF solutions
• Monitor network performance continuously and respond to security incidents
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
• Detect, analyze, and remediate threats and security incidents
• Troubleshoot complex network and security issues
• Provide advanced technical support and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Lead and mentor junior team members, sharing expertise and best practices

Network & Routing Expertise:

• Configuration and management of routers and switches
• Dynamic, static, and inter-domain routing
• ExpressRoute, ISP connectivity, WiFi networks, DNS solutions, TACACS
• IP Routing – Expert, Switching – Expert, MPLS – Expert

Network Security Skills:

• Firewall – Expert, VPN – Advanced, Proxy – Intermediate, Load Balancing – Intermediate
• WAF (Web Application Firewall) – Advanced, LDAP – Expert, Algosec – Advanced

Cloud & Secure Access Knowledge:

• Cloud security (data in transit & at rest), secure access management, ZTNA (Zero Trust Network Access)
• Netskope (Cloud Security Platform) – Advanced

Automation & Scripting:

• Network automation and scripting – Advanced
• Ansible (configuration automation tool) – Advanced

Incident Management & Operations:

• Detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents
• Problem management – Advanced
• Familiarity with operating systems, security standards, and cryptographic protocols

Languages:

• Dutch or French – Native or bilingual proficiency
• English – Professional working proficiency
