Information Technology Security Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Security Risk Analyst to join our client's dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in conducting cyber security risk assessments, secure design, and working with emerging technologies including AI.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison with Business and Risk teams to gather information on projects and requirements.
• Review security for applications and services to ensure alignment with security standards and compliance.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on cyber security for business initiatives.
• Develop and maintain risk tracking for critical projects.
• Collaborate with privacy and risk teams to align security assessments.
• Coordinate with technology teams to ensure security requirements are documented and addressed.
• Conduct threat modeling and provide recommendations based on security testing outcomes (Secure Code Review, DAST, SAST).
• Communicate risks and recommendations clearly to leadership through formal documentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in security risk assessments and secure design for cloud, on-prem, and SaaS solutions.
• Knowledge of information security standards and frameworks such as NIST, ISO, PCI DSS, CSA CCM, and related data protection practices.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with AI systems and relevant security controls.
• Ability to apply methodologies for threat modeling and risk analysis.
• Strong documentation and communication skills to articulate security risks and recommendations.

Nice to Have

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, ISSAP, or CCSP.
