Senior Backend Engineer – Remote first, London office (UK)

💰 £65k–£75k | ⏳ Full-time, 4-day work week

I’m working with an exciting client who is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join their mission-driven team transforming frontline public services with AI. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that helps teams delivering citizen services, from employability and housing to well being and justice, reduce admin, improve compliance, and spend more time on meaningful human work.

What You’ll Do:

• Build and scale core backend systems, APIs, data pipelines, and integrations
• Collaborate with CTO, product, and design teams to deliver tools used by real frontline workers
• Write maintainable, tested, and secure code that scales with real-world impact
• Make key technical decisions and help shape architecture as the product grows

• Interest or experience in AI systems/LLMs
