Staff Software Engineer – Cloud & API Platforms

Role Summary:
We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to lead the design and implementation of cloud-native API platforms. This hands-on role involves building secure, scalable APIs on AWS, developing microservices in Golang, and driving Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). You will mentor engineers, influence architecture, and collaborate with platform, security, and delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement enterprise API platforms and cloud architectures on AWS.
- Develop REST/JSON APIs and microservices in Golang.
- Manage API Gateway and API management platforms with security, traffic policies, and governance.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for multi-environment deployments.
- Drive reliability, observability, and automation in cloud and API platforms.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor engineering teams.
Required Skills:
- AWS Cloud: VPC, EC2, EKS/ECS, IAM, ALB/NLB, S3, RDS, CloudWatch
- API Platforms: Hands-on experience with Kong Enterprise / API Gateway or similar
- Golang: Building high-performance microservices
- Terraform: Multi-environment deployments, reusable modules, CI/CD integration
Nice to Have:
- Kubernetes (EKS) or service mesh experience
- Exposure to BFSI, FinTech, or regulated environments
- API standards (OpenAPI, AsyncAPI)
